Neurological Rehabilitation

‘Neurological’ is a term used to describe your central nervous system, including your brain and spinal cord. Damage to this area interferes with the messages delivered from your brain to your body.

We can support you as you recover or learn to live with your neurological condition. Common neurological conditions include;

  • Parkinson’s Disease

  • Multiple Sclerosis

  • Stroke

  • Traumatic Brain Injury

  • Peripheral Neuropathy

  • Guillain Barre

  • Movement disorders including cerebellar ataxia, hereditary spastic paraparesis and functional gait disorder

Through rehabilitation we are able to excite and create new pathways for the message to travel between your brain and body. This occurs with repetitive exposure to movement and conditioning. We can help improve your movement patterns including walking technique, overall strength and cardiovascular fitness, balance and coordination, pain and spasticity.

Our Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology experience are complementary and can be utilised to help you achieve your goals.
